365 Days Later...

We moved.

A year ago, that is. On August 1, 2010, Kyle and I left our beloved Mississippi for the part southern, part big city world of greater Raleigh, North Carolina. It's been a quite a year, to say the least. But to tell you that it has been all wonderful, all fun, and without hardship would be a complete and utter lie.

But we have learned.

We're still the same two people that left Oxford. We're still young, dumb, twenty-something year-old newlyweds trying to figure out what it means to "make it" in the world. We still love the Rebels, coffee, and Bottletree Bakery. We still have a heart for unreached peoples of the world. And we haven't forgotten our sweet friends and family. Oh, and we still hate LSU.

Nevertheless, a lot has changed in the past 365 days. We went from living in neighborhoods filled with college friends to living in a neighborhood saturated with small children and minivans. We went from skimming textbooks for the very first time the night before a big test to reading endless pages of theological text each and every night. We went from living with our best friends to seeing them once or twice a year. And, we went from "knowing" exactly what God wanted us to do in three years to knowing, well, nearly nothing about what we'll be doing in three years. Life is funny like that.

In the words of Corey Smith, we've got a long, long way to go.

But we're learning.
